Kruzenshtern visited Barcelona and Sète

After calling in port of Vigo the cadets finished the 10-day program. The boatswains of Kruzenshtern have accepted the exams and now cadets are allowed to carry their duties on board in full.
On the 23rd of March the Kruzenshtern called in port of Barcelona. In the evening the delegation from the barque including captain Mikhail Eryomchenko attended an art exhibition in Russian House of Barcelona. An exhibition included works of Russian marine photographers.
On the next day, March the 24th, the cadets and the crew were able to go sightseeing around Barcelona. Despite the non-stop rain, everyone was happy to walk around the famous city and buy souvenirs. On the 25th of March the vessel left the port and headed to the Cote d'azur, the French port of Sète.
It took only two days for Kruzenshtern to get from Spain to France. On the 27th of March the barque called in port of Sète to take part in Escale à Sète festival. On the same evening local musicians attended the vessel and performed traditional French music for visitors and the crew on board. The cadets of Kruzenshtern also took part in the boat race in which came in 3rd place and participated in a traditional parade on the streets of Sète.
An astonishing amount of 21,292 people visited Kruzenshtern during six days the vessel spent in Sète.
The Kruzenshtern left the Sète on the 2nd of April and is now heading to Esbjerg, Denmark. The barque plans to call in Danish port on the 17th of April.
