General Information from the Shipowner

The sailing training ship "Kruzenshtern" gives you the opportunity to receive additional maritime education aboard a sailing vessel. Russian and foreign trainees during sea voyages learn the basic sailing ship theory, receive practical skills of work with rigging, as well as the basic skills of the alarm action and the use of life-saving appliances.

Training of foreign interns is carried out on the basis of concluded contracts with the agency companies. Companies make sure that trainees have the declared period when the ship, all the necessary documents in accordance with the EU law. At the moment the Academy has contracts with the agent companies in Germany and France.

To pass the training on board the sailing ship Russian trainees need to have a number of the following requirements:

— they need to have a valid passport seaman (identity document);
— they need to have a medical certificate, obtained in specialized medical institutions, on the seaworthiness of seagoing vessels;
— they need to have certificates of Maritime Administrations of the Russian ports of special preparation for sailing on the ships;
— they need to have a life and health insurance for the whole period of navigation on board.
Services for additional educational activities are chargeable. The prices for them are approved annually.
